Product launch video in Dubai: why a sequence beats one film, and how to plan it

The single launch film gets posted once. A launch sequence runs for six weeks: teaser, reveal, proof, use, offer. How Dubai brands structure it, what to shoot in one production day, and what it costs.

Most launch briefs we receive in Dubai ask for one film. A beautiful sixty seconds, posted on launch day, boosted for a week, and then the account goes back to product photos. Six weeks later the product is "already launched" and the film is in a folder.

A launch is not a day. It is the six weeks in which a new product has the right to be talked about. Here is how we plan the content for that window.

The five beats of a launch sequence

  • **Teaser (week 0).** Short, curious, no product name. Texture, sound, a hand, a reaction. Three to five clips, vertical, cut from the same shoot as everything else.
  • **Reveal (launch day).** The hero film. One idea, one minute or less, the product shown properly. This is the piece the founder shares and the press picks up.
  • **Proof (weeks 1 to 2).** Why it works: the maker explaining one decision, the ingredient, the material, the test. Two to four pieces.
  • **In use (weeks 2 to 4).** Real people, real settings, the product doing its job. This is where the product stops being a launch and becomes a habit. Four to six pieces, including one that can run as an ad.
  • **Offer (weeks 4 to 6).** The reason to buy now: a bundle, a limited run, the retail partner, the event. Two pieces with the price or the place on screen.

That is fifteen to twenty pieces of content. Every one of them comes from the same production, planned as a sequence from the start.

One production day, if it is planned as one

The mistake is shooting the hero film first and "grabbing some social content" at the end of the day. The social content is what runs for six weeks; it deserves the plan. We build the shot list backwards from the five beats, so the teaser clips, the maker interview and the in-use scenes are scheduled, lit and recorded properly, not improvised at 6pm.

Products that need a studio (cosmetics, jewellery, food) get a studio half-day. Products that live in a setting (furniture, fashion, drinks) get a location. Most launches need both, in one day if the planning is tight.

What each format needs from the brand

A decision-maker on set, samples that are final (not the pre-production batch with the wrong label), the price and the availability confirmed before the offer pieces are cut, and a launch date that does not move by more than a week. The last one is the one that breaks most launches.

What it costs

Brand films start from AED 8,000. A launch sequence, which is the hero film plus the fifteen to twenty pieces above, is scoped per launch after we have seen the product and the timeline, in writing, before any shoot. For brands that launch more than twice a year, a monthly content engine from AED 15,000 per month is usually cheaper than three separate launches. One brand campaign we produced reached 552K views; what mattered to the client was the sequence that followed the hero film, not the number.

A launch film is one post. A launch sequence is six weeks of reasons to look at the product.

If you have a launch date, send us the product and the timing. The Brand Content Plan comes back within one business day with the sequence we would shoot, in what order, and a fixed price.
