How much should a Dubai brand spend on social media ads? A budget framework, not a number

There is no universal minimum for Meta and TikTok ads in Dubai. Budget follows creative volume, lead value and sales capacity. Here is how to size it and when to change it.

The question arrives in every first call: how much should we spend on ads? Anyone who answers with a single number before asking three questions back is guessing. The budget for paid social in Dubai is an output of your creative, your lead value and your sales capacity. Here is the framework we use.

Start from what a lead is worth

Take the value of a closed customer, multiply by the share of enquiries that close, and you have the most you can pay for an enquiry and still make money. A villa brokerage and a brunch venue have very different numbers, which is why a universal minimum makes no sense. Write yours down before anyone talks about spend.

Then from how many creatives you can feed the platform

Meta and TikTok optimise by choosing between options. An account with two videos is not being optimised; it is being asked to pick between two things. The budget has to be large enough to give each creative a fair test over a few weeks, which means creative volume sets a floor on spend. It also sets a ceiling: pouring more money into two tired videos buys expensive impressions. Plan the creative first, then the money.

Then from how many leads your team can actually work

A team of two that can call twenty people a day should not receive two hundred instant-form leads. They will work the easy ones and the rest will rot, and the campaign will look successful in the dashboard while producing nothing. Size the budget to the number of conversations your sales team can hold well, then grow both together.

Where the money goes and how it is counted

Media spend is paid to the platforms. The agency fee buys creative, buying and reporting; we charge that as a fixed fee rather than a percentage of spend, because a percentage pays the agency more when you spend more. Count results where they happen: most Gulf enquiries end in WhatsApp, so a campaign judged only on the platform's dashboard is judged on a fraction of what it produced.

Seasonality changes the number

Ramadan, summer and the Q4 event season shift both cost and behaviour in the UAE. A budget set in January and left alone is wrong by April. We revise monthly against cost per qualified enquiry and move money toward the creative and the season that are working.

A practical first month

Weeks one and two: several creatives, a modest budget, a clean capture path, and a report that shows which hooks produced the cheapest conversations. Weeks three and four: scale the winners, retire the rest, and set the month-two budget from real cost per enquiry rather than from a forecast.

The four things that break paid social accounts here are in paid social in the UAE: what actually breaks. What the engagement includes and costs is on the advertising agency in Dubai page. Property campaigns run inside real estate marketing in Dubai.
