01 The challenge
A launch teaser has one job: make people want the thing before they are allowed to see it. There are no features to lean on, no price, no availability. Only mood, craft, and a reason to come back when it drops.
02 The strategy
Shoot it as a film rather than an ad. Macro product texture cut against a festive set, a warm key on a deep red backdrop, wardrobe that carries the season. Vertical from the first frame, so nothing has to be reframed to live in the feed.
The execution
- Vertical 9:16 teaser, shot and graded in-house
- Macro product texture intercut with the festive set
- Controlled warm key against a deep red backdrop
- Wardrobe and set dressing built around the season
- Cut to hold attention with the sound off
What it delivered.
Qualitative outcomes from the engagement. Verified campaign numbers are published only with client approval.
- A launch-ready teaser the brand can run ahead of the drop
- One shoot, formats ready for feed and stories
- A visual language the follow-up campaign can extend
Key learnings
- A teaser survives on texture: skin, fabric and product in macro do the persuading
- Withholding the product is the point, so the set has to carry the whole mood
- Shooting vertical natively beats cropping a landscape master down to it
